On August 4, 2018, Professor Sergey V. Nechaev, the outstanding Ukrainian geologist,
laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology and the
Vernadsky Prize NAS of Ukraine, Honored Surveyor of the Earth, Doctor of Geological and
Mineralogical Sciences passed away.
The blessed memory of Sergei Valentinovich will forever remain in the hearts of those who
knew and loved him, worked and communicated with him.
