VELOCITY MODELS OF THE UPPER MANTLE OF THE EASTERN AFRICAN RIFT AND THE RED SEA

The results of studying the velocity section of the upper mantle of the zones of young riftogenesis and oceanization are presented. High-speed sections for the mantle of the Red Sea and parts of the rift were built. The obtained models allow an independent control of the scheme of the deep process in the tectonosphere of the continental rift and the oceanic zone.

Key words: Rift of East Africa, Red Sea, velocity section, oceanization.
