METHODOLOGICAL BASIS AND CONCEPTUAL SCHEME FOR GEOTOXICOLOGICAL STUDIES OF THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT
Purpose. Statement of the principles of complex analysis and conceptual scheme of geotoxicological studies of the marine environment.
Methods. Experimental and methodological work on assessing the geotoxicological situation in the support areas of the industrial and urban agglomeration and agricultural complexes in the Odessa region.
Findings. Data on the content of macronutrients, microelements and ultramicroelements.
Originality. A conjugated study of the geochemical situation and levels of the biological hazard of ecosystem pollution constitutes a twopronged task of geotoxicology, synthesizing the methodological principles of geochemistry and toxicology. In the logical combination of justified criteria for assessing the intensity of technogenic changes in the life environment, a new division of biogeochemistry.
Practical implications. It is proposed to perform toxicological control of the ecological situation on the basis of biotesting, which provides an integral assessment of the state of the environment. At the same time, specific regional binding of the levels of stability of vital functions and survival of indicator groups of organisms.
Key words: marine medium, bottom sediments, geotoxical investigations.
