THE SPECIES OF CYPRIDEIS PONTICA KRSTIC ' , 1968 (OSTRACODA, CRUSTACEA) — THE INDICATOR OF THE BOUNDARY OF THE PLIOCENE AND QUATERNARY SEDIMENTS (THE NW BLACK SEA) 
The regularities of stratigraphic position of fossil ostracodes are analysed in the deposits of the northern shelf of the Black sea. In the according to ostracodes the criterias of the delimitation between Pliocene-Quaternary and Neopleistocene-Holocene were given. Cyprideis pontica Krstiс' , 1968 is the index-species of the boundary between Pliocene and Quater in the northern part of the Black Sea. The systematic description of the species (synonymy, advanced diagnosis, dimensions, sexual dimorphism, variability, comparisons, location, stratigraphic position, biostratigraphy, habitat, zoogeography, phylogeny) is given. Cyprideis pontica is phylogenetic line of the species Сyprideis torosa, separated in Late Miocene. A part of the population Сyprideis torosa went through specialization as a result of the colonization of a new ecological niche in deeper biotopes-sea with hypoxia conditions. The restructuring of morphology of the surface pore canals occurred in the process of adaptation of the species to hypoxia conditions. The size of the sieve-lamella and an osculum of the inner pores, the quantity of the inner pores in the sieve-lamella has enearged. New morphotype Cypridis pontica formed. Its mosaic areal was ecologically isolated, but geographically coincided or overlaped with the areal of the species Сyprideis torosa (sympatric morphogenesis).
