YEUGEN FEDOROVICH SHNYUKOV. Museum Notes

The article shows the main stages of life, scientific achievements and the significant contribution of Academician Ye.F. Shnyukov to the development of the research component of museum activities and the process of forming the museum collection of the National Museum of Natural History of NAS of Ukraine, where he served as director during 30 years.

It is noted that in the difficult conditions of the development of the state, Ye.F. Shnyukov was implement scientific and cultural projects that had a positive effect on the fund of museum collections, the recognition of the museum as a scientific academic institution.

The great contribution of academician Ye.F. Shnyukov to the improvement of museum exhibits, the promotion of scientific knowledge, and the personal contribution of the scientist’s efforts to popularize science using the capabilities of the museum are shown.
